Shield Breaker
Shield Breaker was pregnant when she and her crew were escorting a group of refugees to Thanalan. By the time they arrived she had to stay behind due to complications, and a couple Yusuf and Asuman saw to her health as they settled down with Asuman midwifing, Shield Breaker survived the labor and gave birth to a healthy child. She gave the child the name Iyrnspaer--Iron Sparrow in common tongue--and offered the couple a name for her child as well. They gave her the name Asli.The two remained in their settlement for the next several years, working for Yusuf and Asuman and their community.After Asuman passed away, Shield Breaker took Iyrnspaer to their ancestral shrine in the far reaches of Abalathia's Spine to have her forge an axe in the tradition of their warrior line. After, they rejoined Shield Breaker's old crew, the Vulcan Rocs, and roved all over Aldenard for work. While Iyrnspaer learned much from her mother and her colleagues, she tired of living in Shield Breaker's overwhelming shadow and, as a young adolescent, split ways to find her own path.Iyrnspaer
In Ul'dah, Iyrnspaer worked under the table for a Monetarist as his debt collector and a plant in his underground fighting rings. A spectator all too familiar with her boss offered her alternative employment as a dishwasher in their kitchen, intending to steer her away from the questionable man. She soon picked up line cook duties, and under their mentorship she pursued admission to the Culinarians' Guild in Limsa Lominsa.In honor of her first happy memories of cooking, she took up the name given to her by her godsparents.Asli
After training at the Guild, Asli's experiences at higher-end restaurants were demanding and stressful, no small part from the abusive hot-shot chefs themselves. After a particularly explosive resignation, she broke from that corner of the culinary industry to rove and experience different communities' approach to their cuisines. Asli rediscovered wanderlust as this time it was on her own terms.Finally feeling more like herself, Asli took up the surname Skyltbraenawyn to acknowledge and honor her roots.

With training at Limsa Lominsa's culinary guild and in kitchens across Eorzea, food will always be a way into her heart and no dish is too commoner or elite for her to appreciate. Beyond Aldenard, she's versed in Yanxian, Nagxian, and Thavnairian cuisines and has her eyes set on Turalian fare next.The Heart
Asli gives great hugs and likes to lend an ear, a shoulder to cry on, or a helping hand. From the Doman Restoration to the Bozjan Southern Front, she often offers her skills and muscle in support of others.The Fist
As a young adult Asli frequently partook in fighting rings, though her bouts at the time were often tainted by those in power. She still enjoys a good spar these days.The Axe and Boiling Blood
Shield Breaker trained Asli in family warrior techniques when they were still joined at the hip and often sparred with her to push her limits. As such, Asli is comfortable with an axe and can manipulate her aether to boost her body and power through critical hits as if they were mere slaps. Also as such, she prefers to avoid her mother as much as she can.Alongside glowing red eyes, feverish body heat and steam are common markers of their inner beast techniques, earning them nicknames such as "molten rage" and "boiling blood".
